If you can't handle unexpected challenges during the campaign (yes, even dirty ones)

I believe he's handling it by refusing to quit and firing back. Did you have another suggestion? What would it look like to "handle" these specific challenges? To me, they seem to be thin, half-hearted accusations, each one intended only to use up Cain's "face time" in each news cycle, and then fade away until a fresh one replaces it.

I don't mean to imply it's not conceivable Cain might do something differently. But if a claim against a candidate is false—and the GOP contenders can all look forward to a year of such claims from the Axelrats—is there an alternative to sticking to one's guns and waiting for the news value of each successive bimbo to grow shorter and shorter? Even if we find out one of the GOP candidates really did have a secret mistress, does it really matter? Warts and all, wouldn't any of them be better—and more moral—than the larcenous traitors now running the White House?

I don't get the impression you're a fan of Mr. Cain's. But all the Republicans will be in his position sooner or later. I suppose he could give up, but it seems to me that feeding the crocodile only makes the next Republican in line an easier meal for the beast.

I was a big fan of Cain until this latest accusation. Now I'm disappointed.

Hanging tough is not a strategy when one is under attack like Cain is. That's one of the reasons he has died in most polls.

On this latest attack, he needs to return fire. He needs to come public with details of his relationship, whatever it was. He needs the corroboration of others. Was his pastor involved? Were other friends helping this woman? What precisely did he do to help her?

He needs to get witnesses as to his involvement and destroy her case in the court of public opinion (and take it to a court of law if that is appropriate).

He needs to fight back strategically so that this kind of crap is put to rest once and for all.

I am not a PR specialist, but Cain needs to hire a good one and put together an ad of friends and colleagues testifying strongly that this is NOT something Herman Cain would do.

Fan of Herman Cain? I am p!ssed and want my money back!
