They say it’s so they can bathe before prayer. Is this all they ever bathe? I’ve known a few and it’s either A) They only wash their feet and never anything else or B) They never pray.
I’ve known a few as well.
The ones I know wash out their mouths, rinse their faces and hair, rinse their arms and hands, a little water up the nose (which I will admit, I did try on recommendation to prevent colds: to my surprise, it works and I still do it once a day....haven’t had a cold in three years) then of course, the feet.
And the ones I knew bathe at least once a day.
And yes, they pray too. Of course, the ones I knew were Turkish, no Arabs, so mileage may vary.
why don’t they wash their butts before they stick them up in the air?
When they answer the ‘call to prayer’ I am sure that the people not in the first row would appriciate it.
