I have been a Cain supporter. I weathered the payoffs to the women claiming he harassed them. It seemed to blow over, but did damage his standing in the polls. He has been on a backslide. When this story broke, we got relatively two different disjointed responses. One from his lawyer which didn’t refute the claims, and one of denial saying he was helping her financially. If she was in need of a financial boost based on impending evictions, he should have got her in touch with the church and not “personally” tried to help as he claimed. I question judgement here. Look, I am just frustrated. Where does this go now? Even if completely innocuous, it still rubs me the wrong way. If he was in fact helping her “financially”, he didn’t do a very good job because she was still evicted.

Interesting comment.

You condemn him for helping her financially.

And then condemn him for not giving her enough money to prevent eviction.

Cain doesn’t have a chance against that kind of logic. Damned if he does, damned if he does not.
