For a significant portion of the last thirteen years Mr. Cain was suffering from stage 4 cancer. He underwent many treatments (chemo and radiation, I think).
How on earth was he able to maintain an affair during that time? How could he make it "..very intriguing, very fun..."?
You make a great a point. If this woman’s story of the 13 year affair was true, you would think she would have mentioned or at least made a reference to Cain’s time spent battling cancer.

Cain was diagnosed in 2006 , had surgery and completed his last round of chemo in January 2007.
