To go back to my analogy, what you’re saying is that because the pool isn’t full, Cain should empty it the rest of the way. Moreover, you’re advocating he not merely open the drain but blow it open w a shotgun. Excuse me, but unless the pool is empty, why drain it completely? And why make it not difficult but impossible to refill? A semi-intelligent conservative could grasp this simple concept right away. You are either dense or not a conservative. Yes, that is my assessment, and I stand by it.

Cain is a good, likeable, truly conservative candidate who has the capacity to rebound, especially in the current field. You want him to destroy his chances utterly. I can see why. Your attitude toward him is sickening. You creep me out. I cannot imagine any conservative having a protracted exchange w you and NOT being creeped out. Why not take your Cain hatred to DU??? It would Fit Right In.

BWAHAHAHA! It's the same thing with most true believers who are emotionally invested in a politician. "My guy embodies conservatism! If you don't agree, you aren't really conservative! Go back to DU!"

My attitude towards Cain is that he's a political novice who lacks even a basic understanding of many issues. A lot of times, you get either the blank stare, the "I'm a leader not a reader" type slogan, or the "I'll get all relevant information and have a good staff" type of line. My favorite in the past couple weeks was the claim that a reporter's question on whether Cain agrees with Obama's decision to ease travel restrictions to Cuba was a "gotcha question."
