But he can enact immigration laws like Alabama did...
That is, if he were really serious. But he is not serious.
Texas just enacted Voter ID and proof of citizenship to receive a Texas DL.
IIRC, (along with nearly every illegal immigration law passed by any state) these are under federal review.
If Perry says [as President] he will detain and deport, he will do it.
The legislature could have, but did not when they met this spring. Perry called them back for a special session to pass an anti-sanctuary city law, and they failed to do that much. When the in state tuition for illegals passed, a large majority of the state legislature voted for it. I am disappointed by that, but the Texas legislature is who Perry has to work with.
Oh you mean laws where children are being bullied and where citizens are asked for their papers because they “look” like illegals?
Uh oh! It appears that this law may not be good for Bama’s foreign auto manufacturing if the Mercedes Benz executives are arrested. You know there are often unintended consequences for laws written purely on emotion and not reason.
Problem is, all too many FReepers look far, far from serious, as they obsess over immigration, so called - and ignore the fact we are witnessing the literal disappearance of the Caucasian race. THAT is really serious. Americans are not replacing themselves, nor are the white Europeans, which have an even lower birth-rate than US Caucasians.
The birth rate for Caucasian woman in the US is very far below the sustaining rate of 2.1 per adult female - hence if all immigration were somehow terminated, this nation would die faster than the dying European nations, which are being propped up by Muslim immigration.
The 'prop' here has been from both Muslim and Hispanic immigration - meanwhile the death of the Caucasian race continues apace.
Seems to me conservatives should be more concerned about the fact that they aren't replacing themselves than they are about 'immigration.' If we can't take care of the business of maintaining even a replacement population, then how can we expect to see a strong United States of America continue to exist?
Fix that problem and the problem caused by 'immigration' would soon disappear. I saw the results of the 'baby boom' after WWII first-hand - and we all need to see that again, because it would seriously help shut down the flow of 'immigrants' in the most beneficial way.
