Right, enough with this “Children of illegals” doublespeak babble. Either they are anchor babies (who aren’t really legally citizens, but due to a skewed reading of the law and Republicans being complicit, we call them citizens), or they are illegals. This “Children of illegals” is merely an attempt to cut out the fact that THEY ARE ILLEGALS, too.
The law applies to children who were brought here illegally by their parents. It is a small number who qualify for college admission; they generally apply to community colleges and they pay full instate tuition. They have to have attended Texas public schools (which feds say you can’t check legal status) for a minimum of 3 years, graduated and apply for citizenship.
