The report “says”. Have you seen them? Do we know whether they were love limericks or “do you know whether Burger King is hiring”? I can say the same thing. If I came out tomorrow and said I had an affair with Herman Cain and I had “proof” I’d get air time too. Wonder if they’d actually as for the proof or spend days and days insinuating an affair and then after nothing was forthcoming say “oh well” and go onto the next thing. We used to expect people to PROVE what they say. Evidently we’ve become a nation of “the seriousness of the charge”. Unless you’re a democrat.

OK, so maybe the woman is lying.

Sounds like you would need more evidence before believing the report. Hope you are right.

But, what about the carefully worded reply by the attorney? He doesn’t deny the relationship. Sounds like what an attorney would say after Cain admitted to him privately that he did have an affair.

See what I mean? If the attorney said, “These allegations are untrue.” Then it would be used against him in a possible court case.
