This is why the Gingrich camp has taken to making the weaselly distinction that, unlike Clinton, Gingrich didn't lie "under oath."
As if the President holding a press conference and intoning the lie that "I did not have sexual relations with . . . that woman . . . Monica Lewinsky" is just chopped liver.

Speaking of “chopped liver”, that is the old news you keep trying to peddle to delivery as if it still matters. Cain has not had time to get past his troubles, if they are even true.
Newt’s old marital troubles have been sudsed out, in public, back in the 90’s for crying out loud. His own daughter has clarified the condition of the marriage you lament.
The press never covered the facts, but got rich on all the innuendo, and Newt didn’t howl about it, or try to explain.
No one cares. Newt is happy now and it shows.
Why the quotations around "under oath?" They're unnecessary. Clinton lied under oath, and he was impeached for it. Newt did not lie under oath, and was never impeached for it.
Lying under oath is perjury, and making the distinction isn't "weaselly," as you say, but based in fact.
I like and respect Newt a great deal more than I do the groping, perjuring rapist Bill Clinton and would never allow a disdain for facts to suggest moral equivalence between the two. You?
