Like one of his earlier accusers, the latest woman to accuse Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain of sexual misconduct has a history of financial trouble, with a threat of eviction for non-payment of rent just two weeks ago.
Ginger White, who claimed in an interview with Atlanta Fox News affiliate WAGA to have had a 13-year-affair with Cain, has liens and civil judgments in Kentucky and Georgia dating back to 1994.
Eleven of those liens have been filed since 2009, with nine in 2011. The owners of her apartment complex in Dunwoody, Georgia have sued her for non-payment of rent nearly every month since the beginning of the year.
White, a 46-year-old unemployed single mother who is at least twice divorced, was described by WAGA as an Atlanta-area businesswoman. While living in Louisville, Kentucky, she worked at Recruitment Plus, LLC. According to WAGA, she filed a sex harassment claim against an employer ten years ago, and the case was settled. The station also found a bankruptcy filing from the late 1980s.
In January, there is a scheduled court date in an unrelated civil suit filed against her by a former business partner, Kimberly Vay, who alleges that White stalked and harassed her and had sought a protective order. A judge has entered a default judgment in Vay's favor. [snip]

2. They called each other, according to one account, over 60 times in a 4-month period. For those of you who cant do the math, thats once every other day - for months on end. Thats a pretty odd friendship with a woman that your wife knows nothing about, isnt it? Oh - and at least one of those calls was at a strange hour to be calling a friend of the opposite sex - 4:30AM. The fact that his wife did not know he was talking on the phone in the middle of the night with a female friend raises more red flags.
3. Cain said something about wanting to help the woman out financially. Once again, here is a man who has a 13-year relationship with a woman that his wife knows nothing about, and to whom he is (or is apparently seeking to) giving money to. Red flags all around, folks. But that also works against Cains credibility, for if the woman was indeed emotionally unstable, what the heck was he doing having a 13-year relationship with her, calling her in the middle of the night, and admitting that he wanted to help her out financially? Sheer altruism, i.e., out of the goodness of his heart?
All you Male Cain supporters out there. Have your wife read the above posted by tjd1454. Then ask her if this were you instead of Cain, what would she say to you about it?
Its ok honey, I trust you. I know you two are just friends. How sweet of you to give her our money. How nice of you to console her over the phone late at night. I dont mind that you had a SECRET, FEMALE, friend for over thirteen years, how nice. Is she free for church and dinner this Sunday? Id love to meet her.
Im sure your wifes comment is in there somewhere, right?
Thanks for pointing out what should be obvious to everyone on this thread. For bringing it up I have been accused of being a closet Perry or Newt supporter, which is totally false, not to mention a cheap shot by those who do not wish to deal with the fundamental issue of whether we as Freepers will give blind, unquestioning allegiance to "our guy" and stick our heads in the sand.
I am NOT assuming that the allegations are true. I sincerely hope they are not. However, we need to sort though it all and wait to see what other evidence emerges which will hopefully vindicate him.
Went and read it, thanks.
Exactly, Fred.
Ohh yeah I already forgot about her business partner. Really good point.
Let's hope it doesn't come to this, but IF in six months or so, after the facts have come out for better or worse, will you be willing to "go there" regarding Cain? In other words, will you apply the same standards to Cain as to other candidates?
My friend, the only problem with your analysis, is that you don’t have the facts. What you say may or may not be plausible, but it’s only conjecture. On that basis, there can be a myriad of explanations.
The same goes for you. Apply the same judgment to yourself that you apply to others.
I’m sorry, but I must respectfully disagree.
It is entirely possible to have a friendship with the opposite SEX. SEX is not always the driving component in a friendship. I find it interesting that you feel the way you do. It is surely not unique, just revealing.
My issue is that Mrs. Cain was not apparently privy to the “friendship”.
Of course we "maintain our moral standards": that's not the question. The point is whether the moral compass (or lack of it) of our leaders matters. Historically many Americans would say that it does. I'm sure you can think of numerous politicians and candidates whose careers have been ended because of sexual indiscretions. (of course, we can also think of examples of those who "got away with it" because they were protected by the media, etc.)
And rightly so, because personal integrity is an important personal quality that has a long history within the American ethos. If a man or woman lacks integrity in their personal lives, Americans realize that this affects how they conduct themselves in public office.
Personally, like I said, a candidates personal life does not affect our family’s lives. So long as they are not involved in something illegal which can be subject to blackmail, then that becomes a national security issue. Naturally we yearn for a president who is pure as snow, but that would probably eliminate all good candidates.
Right now, the country is in deeper economic problems than most people realize. Have people not seen the riots in Greece? When a country goes broke, all hell breaks lose. We are in desperate need of a “LEADER” who understands economy and how to create real jobs. Someone who has first hand experience in main street economy. A professional politician will be the last person we need at this time.
In this economy not many folks not having what could fairly be described as financial difficulties
The difference between Newt & Herman:
Newt’s adulteries are well known and Obama’s re-election war room probably has all the necessary information cocked and loaded. If he becomes the nominee, get ready to be bombarded.
Not a single one of Cain’s accusations have been proven with evidence. So I will give him benefit of doubt until proven otherwise.
A sexual harrassment suit from 2001.Bankruptcy.
Multiple evictions.
Lawsuit/restraining order pursuant to harrassment, stalking, character defamation.
Unemployed.
Your comment lacks force as a criticism as it may be applied equally to everyone posting on this thread.
Those that take the opposing view and reject out of hand the possibility that Cain may be guilty of inappropriate behavior, are also "guilty" of "conjecture" and of not having "the facts." We simply do not know at this point what the truth is.
I would be perfectly happy to learn that these latest accusation are indeed unsubstantiated and false. The question is whether those who appear to be giving blind, unquestioning allegiance to Cain are willing to follow the "facts" wherever they may lead?
“If we end up with Romney, it will be a choice between a GOP liberal and a Dem liberal.”
A) If enough of us can agree and vote for someone else, we don’t have to “end up with Romney”; B) BHO is much, much worse than just “a Dem liberal”.
“How do you handle that?”
By working on as many people as possible to join us in voting AGAINST the America-hating, illegal, Marxist, Muslim, traitorous occupier in our White House - that’s how.
No contest or quandary there - BHO must be ousted at all costs. The survival and safety of our Republic depend on it.
“Wolf asked him specifically if there was sex- Cain say no!. Then, was there an affair? No! Im certain of that, but the video is onlinewhatever Wolfs show is
You’re right - I just saw it again (on Red Eye) 5 minutes ago. No sex, no affair, he said.
“Is it ABnormal to have a friends number on your cell phone? Are you implying only numbers you can have on your cell phone must be of the same gender as you?”
I think the issues are the number of calls (61?) and the times of day they were made, both to and from Herman. However, as someone said on another thread, if the texts/calls had contained anything salacious, the media would have been all over that by now.
