Behavioral Health SpecialistKimberly graduated from Edinboro University in 2001 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Upon graduation, she worked with children with mental disorders where she found her true passion in working with mentally ill children. In 2003, she relocated to Atlanta, GA where she continued her education at Argosy University and obtained a Master's of Arts in Professional Counseling. During her graduate internship she worked at a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) and then went on to obtain her Doctorate Degree in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University. She is currently completing her dissertation study on Youth Sex Offenders in the Juvenile Justice System. Currently, Kimberly works as a contracted transcriptionist at a PRTF. In addition, she is the Department Chair at a Psycho-educational Program as well as providing wrap-around support to children and families in the Metro Atlanta area.
Small question. How could she be awarded a doctoral degree before she completed her dissertation?
