In breaking news this afternoon, a Georgia woman is claiming that she had a 13-year affair with Herman Cain. She says she has documents (whatever they might be) which can back it up. In what can only be described as the guiltiest-looking no-comment statement in the history of politics, Cain’s lawyer offered this absurd response (especially hilarious parts in bold):

One of two things is true about this statement. Either Mr. Cain and his attorney are basing their views on what is an appropriate subject of media scrutiny for political candidates on the way politics work on another planet (perhaps another galaxy, even), or they are basically trying to telegraph to us that he completely did it. After following Cain’s campaign for the last several months, I would say either is equally likely. After all, basically the only reason a Presidential candidate would take a principled stand against admitting or denying that they had a multi-year affair on the woman to whom they are still married is if they have some principled objection to lying about having completely done it. And if that wasn’t the intended message, then Cain’s communications operation is even worse than we thought – which is really saying something.

The statement admits nothing the words used are
ACCUSATION of private, ALLEGED consensual conduct between adults”
CAIN’S ATTY IS NOT ADMITTING TO ANYTHING.
The atty is doing an excellent job of singling out
what is being claimed and what the accuser is claiming
a ‘affair’.
The next logical step the atty takes is to state that
NO ONE SHOULD BE QUESTIONED ABOUT WHAT THEY DO IN THEIR OWN PRIVATE SEX LIFE. (can ya say Barney Frank)
Further he states that the RIGHT TO REPORT has boundaries that end outside of one’s bedroom door. (can ya say Barney Frank)
The media is now in a corner. If Cain becomes fair game after this clarification, then ALL become fair game.

So since Cain has been ACCUSED again ACCUSED of having an affair you now want to support a guy who FOR A FACT has had 2 confirmed affairs.
FYI - Newt’s affairs are not relevant to how I vote.
Do freepers not have a life? No court cases, no lawsuits, no so called mooch buddies like Ginger White. Do you all live in caves. Have you ever helped a friend on a court case, ever file a request for a protective order?

The only way the press is going to get anything else out of this story is to go after Ginger White and now she has stopped talking and will not give details.Not sure how long that will last. All they are going to here from Cain on this is NEIN NEIN NEIN end of story and TALK TO THE ATTORNEY.

Excellent point, MOTIVE must be known and who are her attorneys she has two. One for her lawsuit with the biz partner and now one for her hokie ALLEGATIONS(in big letters for all newt and perry licks), Why the hell would she need an attorney to make this big announcement what purpose does it serve.
