I'm not saying that I believe her story, but I also find his wording in response interesting:
"What this says is that somebody's awfully afraid that I'm doing too well in this Republican nomination, to continue to dig up these stories to put a cloud and a damper on my campaign."
Sorry Herman, but it I was innocent and this woman and the others were lying about me, I would have used the words "create," or "make up," not "dig up."
The words "dig up" imply that there was something valid to be found with sufficient investigation. Three women have claimed improper or questionable behavior and now another one has come forward with an allegation of a 13 year affair? Something is truly beginning to smell.
I am also struck by the careful wording of his lawyer.
Not very auspicious for Mr. Cain. This last one could very well skewer Cain's hopes. It will be interesting if she can produce some proof of their relationship. As someone else said, after 13 years, there has to be some damning evidence around and apparently she has emails, phone records and the like.
This is just a political hit job. Someone is scared of Cain and if he was really down in the polls, ask yourself: why bother with this kind of stuff? That means someone is running scared enough to plant bimbo eruption stories in the media. Oh man - it will never go away!
