And if Cain is not the nominee, whomever is, will get the similar merciless character assassination and mudslinging from then until November 2012 because as it has been said, Obama can no WAY run on his record, and it will be the filthiest campaign ever. If not Cain, they would smear somebody else. They are just starting with the biggest threats first. That’s all. If the man did any wrong I would expect him to bow out. However if he did not wrong, you can bet this will embolden him even more and the failure of such a charge will again turn into positive momentum and bring up the coffers even more. Next 48 hours will tell.
