Men’s thoughts of it are more the norm than you are admitting. Those thoughts arise of our nature, and it takes extra effort to keep them from moving into inappropriate action.

And, dear lady, over the scope of three decades, surely in the earlier of them you were much less mature and able to judge action, glances, circumstance and innuendo then you would be today. Maturity is a good thing, when it makes one wiser to the situations the younger and unwiser might get caught in, without that wise maturity of experience by someone in the crowd at that time.

like we see in many other cases...children become adults and then they understand what they experienced as children was abuse.

While I was growing up in this sport, we were unfortunate in our community to be experiencing “scandal” involving children in another institution I belonged to.
Everyone knew about it because people talk. Kids talk - especially to each other.
