I found out last year that those bell ringers are not members of Sally but are paid by the hour...that is is not right.

Christmas donations make up the bulk of the Salvation Army budget. The kettles are manned by volunteers in my area. However, in some areas there just aren't enough volunteers to man all of the buckets, and they have to hire people.

Have you considered giving a couple hours of your time to help the Salvation Army help those in need?
