Zackly...but evolution is just change over time which happens all the time, so that Darwinism is not science and is a religion is more accurate, imo.
My question is, isn’t science, religion and everything in between all about the search for truth? So what harm is there in learning about the prevailing world-is-flat theories? Disputing the ad hoc rationalizations put forth by Darwinists to explain the pieces that don’t fit into their failed theology, like punctuated equilibrium and horizontal gene transfers, with facts —like Intelligent Design advocates do— will only serve to kill off the Darwin religion even sooner, serving well the God that created them, and even the god that didn’t.

Sorry. This practicing physician of > 25 years has been able to diagnosegenetic disorders with out believing a word of the baloney that is evolutionary theory. Human genetics has nothing to do with evolution. Neither does the practice of medicine.
It isn't any different than learning the revisionist crap that passes for “civics” and “social studies” in most modern schools.
Read it; use it on tests; forget it and move on after passing the course.
Hell, when I was in school, I had to pretend for years that 1 + 1 = 2 in order to pass arithmetic. Hasn't hurt me in the least, even though I know better. In fact, a college algebra instructor accidentally vindicated me when he proved on the blackboard that 1 + 1 =/= 2; most of the other students laughed and tried to point out his “mistake”, but I knew he was right!

I’ll not mention the name of the FReeper that insists that only evolution theory provides anything useful to “science”, whilst creationism provides, he insists, NOTHING of value to “science”...
“creationists” don’t believe in “fixity”, but in adaptability of species, within boundaries, of course.
Adapatability provides the same framework that evolution provides, it just has a different set of origins assumptions as well as a different view of the mechanism of adaptation (built-in vs added on by mutation).
Given the age of the Earth, 4.5 billion years, God’s “plan” is a mystery not yet solved.
