Romney shifts to promise-making mode as he continues:
Romney: As President, I'll oppose amnesty, cut funding for sanctuary cities and secure our borders
Romney might well get tough on sanctuary cities in the future, but he didn't when he was governor.
During his tenure, at least four Massachusetts cities enacted or renewed legislation declaring themselves sanctuaries for illegal immigrants.
(1)Brookline and (2)Cambridge reaffirmed their longtime status as sanctuary cities in so many words.
(3)Somerville and (4)Orleans didn't officially deem themselves "sanctuaries," but Somerville affirmed its "long-standing policies in support of all immigrants," while Orleans forbade city officials from turning in illegal immigrants without probable cause.

Perry is the only one that has put the kibosh on so called “sanctuary city’s”
The Dallas PD and the mayor of Houston also wanted to defy him on gun laws so far as the Castle law.
Perry circumvented them legally, and shut them down.
They did next to nothing about Sanctuary Cities but talk
Could this be why Arizona’s controversial Sheriff Arpaio is set to endorse Rick Perry.
We’ll see.
NO! Perry passed laws that stop Liberal Mayors and Liberal Sheriffs from preventing good men from doing what they think is right.
Perry is so much more conservative than Dallas.
Do we have “sanctuary” cities?
Obviously Perry’s fault /s
Romney doesn’t have a conservative bone in his body, he is a complete fraud.
My candidate in order or preference:
1. Cain
2. Perry
3. Gingrich
4. Bachmann
5. Santorum
and the rest I won’t vote for, period.
Mittens is another lying, pro amnesty, rino shill, and he ain’t the only one in the race.
The Senate has not taken action on a sanctuary cities bill.
Did it pass the Senate and did Perry sign it? It's been six months since then...
It passed the senate 6/15/11 by a 19/12 vote.
I can find no articles that say when Perry passed the law, but I know I have read articles that said he did.
Perry was the driving force behind the bill going back to 2009.
I can find nothing that says SB 9 either passed or failed.
Thanks.
