See that is why I don’t get involved in any of this type of thing. It is crazy to keep up with what store to go to and what store not too. I base my decision SOLELY on what I need or want to buy. It is ridiculous to keep a list and try to keep up with it. I guess a bunch of stores have decided to force their employees to mumble Merry Christmas. Big deal. Seriously, I could care less. I want to hear Merry Christmas from someone who really wants to say it.

I agree with you to a point. It doesn’t bother me if store employees say, “Happy Holidays” rather than “Merry Christmas”. I always reply to “Happy Holidays” with “Merry Christmas” anyway (and I usually get a Merry Christmas in response).
But, what DOES bother me is if a store or company issues a policy that prohibits employees from saying “Merry Christmas”. Allow employees to say or not say it - but don’t prohibit them from saying the word “Christmas”. Stores that do that I will go out of my way to avoid.
