you are soooooooooooooo wrong! lol
As we secure the border, we must make an aggressive and serious effort to deport all criminals, gang members, and any other threats to our society as quickly as possible. We must also tap into the ingenuity of the private sector to better validate who is in the United States legally.
Newt opposed the DREAM Act. However, he did agree with part of the legislation which allowed those who came to the United States illegally as children to serve in the U.S. Military to earn their citizenship, just as foreign nationals are today allowed to do the same.
Furthermore, Newt has proposed giving local communities the authority to allow those with long established roots in the neighborhood a legal residency status, but not citizenship. Newt believes local communities are at a better vantage point to determine if those there illegally should stay or go. Under this system, we will send home those with no family or community ties and quickly deport those who have committed criminal and other destructive acts, while providing minimal disruption to families and communities.
Read Newts 10 step immigration plan here.
To some I might be a bigot, racist, and idiot. However, to many who view this illegal immigration as a cancer within our society such name calling goes both ways and does not come close to relieving the social problem and costs for legal citizens. I believe the first responsible move is to give wide circulation that illegals and families are subject to immediate enforcement action. The next step is to take enforcement action with wide public circulation against all illegals found. This will show serious intent that will have a chilling effect on not only those who would be illegal but also on long time illegals. This could well be a long term effort. Another step is to to have in place a payback-stay or go back law. I believe that any illegal person who commits to active USA military service should be given a ‘stay’ choice or for public benefit if so chosen. The government of the illegal must be under some kind of enforceable sanction to recover costs or stop it’s citizens from using illegal entry into the USA. Obviously there are other elements for a complete and effective program but the main thrust is to let people who come here illegally know that time does not wash away their illegal act for themselves or their family.
If Newt doesn’t make it into the White House, none of these concerns will be relevant.
We will all be able to celebrate Romney’s or Obama’s plan to deal with the immigration problem.
Oh happy days......
You couldn’t be more spot on, unfortunately.
That's not exactly the truth....90% of the Chinese students who were issued student visas's to the US in the 1990's never returned home....even though it was determined this was the condition of them being issued the visa's in the first place.
Many foreigners who come here to the US never return home....in fact they try to get their families to move here with them by any means available.
So yes, if we begin to deport family members it will break up their families....it doesn't work as much as some might want to imagine it would.
But you forgot to mention why Reagan said it was a mistake....
In the Simpson-Mazzoli Act. Ronald Reagan, in his diary, says he signed it,.... we were supposed to have 300,000 people get amnesty..... There were 3m. But he signed it because we were going to get two things in return.... We were going to get control of the border and we were going to get a guest worker program with employer enforcement. We got neither.....The Democrats did not keep their end of the bargains.
Yes you are right about this Jukeman.
The outcry from some who want those who have made a real life here for many years deported in entire will never happen...and thus is why their outcry and opposition to Newt's plan is so very much opposed by them.
What we are witnessing on these threads is the agony of peoples hearts and minds stuggling to grasp what they simply cannot grasp as reality....and the loss of what never will be as they hoped and believed was possible.
We will see the deportation of the undesirables no doubt.....and fair they should return to their own country. But we will never see those who have settled here being deported...it isn't going to happen. The most we can expect is what Newt's plan calls for......
...their choice will be to become "legal" without voting rights and other "perks" they believe they are entititled to....or they go home and file for legal immigration according to the laws in place. Some of the outcry we can expect to hear will be strong of course, especially because many believe that the US IS Mexicos regardless of how you argue the facts. They "believe" they have a right to be in "their own country here" and nothing we say will alter that mentality. Others will be grateful they can remain and won't care one way or another if they vote or not.
The greatest opposition will be the democrates who would see 'their hold on the Hispanic vote would be broken'....and that they will fight every inch of the way.
He has zero credibility with you. There’s a little difference there, pal.
I say this because any time the immigration issue comes front and center they mount up in the thousands on our streets. What are you going to do? Send out the military to rein them in? We'll look like Syria's streets and no one will chance that happening...not a single politicians will let that happen.
Yes, that's what I said.
Then we have lost our nation to the third world hordes as we have NO will to defend her.
If I was in their shoes, I’d be taking my children with me no matter where they were born; but then, I lOVE my children.
(a) Improper time or place; avoidance of examination or inspection; misrepresentation and concealment of facts
Any alien who
(1) enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, or
(2) eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers, or
(3) attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the first commission of any such offense,
be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, for a subsequent commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both.
Well....show me otherwise...there is not a person in this political system who has gotten anything thru to 'stop'... not talk about or hand out things ineffective...but 'stop' the illegals infilitration in our nation....not one...and they keep on pouring in from every nation. That's just a fact.
Michael Reagan?
yet another son of Satan Newt lover

It’s certainly amazing that the very issues Newt’s opposers are listing as problems with the illegals are the very ones Newt’s plan addresses.
A.) Deporting recent comers.
B.) Deporting those with no job and no kids.
C.) Tracking down every expired Visa.
And let’s add very heavy penalities on employers who hire them..Newt’s pretty darn firm about upping that to where it basically will give employeers more than just pause of bringing on illegals.
