I’m betting most of the workers damn near CRIED at the prospect of all the go-backs.
The employees cheered them? I don’t think so. If I was an employee looking at those 75 carts of stuff to restock I’d be, well, it wouldn’t be pretty.
I would have had them each apprehended, had them empty the contents of each cart on the counter and every item that was frozen or refrigerated they should be required to pay for before leaving the store.
Want some more good news about the Occupy movement? I’ve heard that there is a gay porn movie being shot on the scene of Occupy Oakland, according to Huffington Post.
I’m sure that’ll help.
There’s one, MADem, who seems to have some sense that hasn’t yet fallen out of her brain. You have to be so excruciatingly politically correct (to whatever the political movement happens to be at the time) on DU, I don’t see how somebody with scruples left, like MADem, can even tolerate it.
Oh, and it’s funny to see them characterize Wal-Mart store management as the hated 1%. Not even some surgeons command enough pay to get into that 1%, let alone retail managers! Maybe the president of Wal-Mart, and the heirs, but that’s about it.
ASSHOLES!
Welcome to FR, but most of us typically discourage childish behavior.
Leaving 75 carts would not get me all that mad. But I certainly would not encourage that kind of behavior and if it were one of my kids, they would wish they had not been part of it.
All that said, Thank you. Happy belated T-Day.
I am starting to wish I had not said, "I would have found their leaving the carts funny".
But I did say it, so I guess I should explain.
Small annoyances do not get under my skin. If they did, fathering and homeschooling ten kids, being in the timber business with over a million acres, living with the EPA, the fed as a whole, banks, diesel prices, and employees would have put me in my grave years ago. By the way, did I mention federal regulation and a recession since the building season of 2005?
No, 75 shopping baskets full of non-perishables is not going to send management into a tizzy, but their zombie like repartition of a fools speech is reason for concern.
By the way, if any of my kids were involved foolishness like that, I would spank that child and send his mother to bed without her dessert.
75 carts @ .5 man hrs/cart to restock (depending on number of items/abandoned cart, in addition to carts normally abandoned) = 37.5 hrs. needless work before the workers can go home. I’d be pissed.
Did you WATCH the video?
If I were an employee there, I'd be none to happy with this Occupy nonsense.
Every one of the stupid jerks deserves to have their a.. kicked good and hard.
Reading the Dummy thread concerning this event, one Dummy, MADem, was distinctly in disagreement with the fools. As were a few others, but MADem went out of his way to impress upon the Dummies the stupidity of their actions. When other Dummies can see what idiots many of them are, there’s hope for the future. I guess.
MADem.... been around a while I bet.... probably not a Lousy Freeper Troll.... will probably still be accused of it though.
What good would it do you? Where is the profit in a public display of anger? Or even a private display amongst your employees?
My friend, I am hoping you are a young manager, if there is nothing to gain from anger, then forgive. You will feel better and get further ahead.
One day some kids, as a prank, started one of our bulldozers, thank God it was small one, it did a lot more dollar damage than those carts, the kids parents decided the punishment. One of those boys now works for me as a crew manager.
What would I ahve gained by getting and and calling the cops?
I’m going to do a DUFU on Pitt tomorrow AM. He got boomeranged again.
OK, then I'll try to do this one, if not tomorrow night, then sometime Monday morning.
This orchestrated “movement” has only one goal and that is to get law enforcement to use strong tactics against them, so they can yell “foul” at law enforcement. Their fondest hope is that the police will kill one or more of the useful idiots they’ve attracted.
