And, in truth, other than essentially leaving the economy here in Texas alone, I am really hard-pressed to find anything else good to say about Perry. He’s really an arrogant type, just like Newt - thinks he knows everything.

I think what happened is that Perry’s campaign knows that there are a lot of America-Loving people on FreeRepublic, so they went here to convert us. Unfortunately it’s not that easy when you have a candidate that has been undercutting America (Sanctuary Cities, etc.), and they’ve found out that we are really well-informed, and will not just roll over for their candidate.
They’re simply shocked that we’re not such a bunch of roll-overs and cannot handle it.
That is huge plus for Perry. Unfortunately, the one issue voters can't get past the illegal issue. They want to hold Perry responsible for the millionsn of illegals who have been invading our country for the past three decades. Conservtives used to be about God, guns and country. Perry fits that bill.
Actually if I said what I really thought of you I would be banned. I’ve dealt with you enough to know you aren’t nearly as smart as you think you are. You just parrot what the rest of the herd parrots. I mean, you call the most experienced fiscally and socially conservative running a RINO liberal because he isn’t a “fry the bastards at the border anti-immigration bigot”. He understands that you have to lock down the border first before any real solutions can be put in place to deal with the illegals already here. I don’t take anything you say seriously. FYI, immigration is the least of our problems. If we don’t turn the economy around and repeal the communist marxist’s job killing regulations then we all may be needed to emigrate elsewhere to find a good paying job.

The pro-ILLEGAL alien garbage may play well in Texas but it's a hard sell nationally.
No FReeper has caused Rick Perry's campaign to tank; that was all his doing.
Their tactics are identical to the way the Slick Willardbots behaved 3-4 years ago. They similarly threatened JimRob with respect to those of us who exposed his Socialist record of deceit (complaining that things were “terrible” here and we were so “mean-spirited” all the while they viciously insulted to the most grotesque terms), and if they weren’t given similar “respect” (meaning banning those who disagreed on Willard’s divinity), they would #1, stop donating money to FR, and #2, go all over the internet bashing FR as an “anti-Mormon” website. No matter whom the RINO is, their nutty supporters act the EXACT same way. Not one authentic Conservative in support of their candidate has EVER acted in this manner.
There is no comparison between Romney and Perry. Perry was never pro-abortion. Perry is a Christian. There are so many issues facing us right now that trump the illegals. That damage was done over the past three decades. If obama gets a second term he will be unstoppable. Look at the damages he’s done already. Defense of marriage act — gone. Don’t ask, don’t tell — gone. They’ll be coming after your guns in his second term.
Baloney. They’re both establishment-supported, big gubmint RINO phonies. Both lie, both have this unsatisfied obsession for power, and that’s just for starters. They’re like two peas in a pod. Ditto their supporters who do their dirty work for them.

All you see is that the illegals are the cause of all our problems. Well I don’t and I have a big problem with the herd mentality rising up against and blaming a group of people as the sole cause of all our problems. Perhaps you need to read a bit of history to see how that usually turns out.
I will add that there is a very big possible reason why so many are allowed to stay, we aborted a whole damn generation of taxpayers and quit having kids above replacement value. Now that the boomers are hitting retirement age the chickens are coming home to roost. It’s called consequences.
It’s not the illegals that is the problem, it’s the fracking feds who will not enforce the laws on the books. Put the blame where it rightfully belongs, Fedzilla!
I didn’t PERSONALLY give you McCain. Louisiana’s caucus was well after he was the nominee. Besides, I only had one vote. That’s hardly enough to turn an election.
ONE MORE TIME: Perry isn’t a liberal by any definition of the word. The problem we have here is that some people have decided that if someone doesn’t agree with their definition of conservatism then they are a liberal RINO.
