While the song peaked at only #52 on The Billboard Hot 100 in 1969, it remains a classic example of Steppenwolf's scope and power.

Written by Burt Bacharach, Luther Dixon and Hal David this tune was recorded by both The Shirelles and The Beatles, and became hits for both. However, the highest-charting version of "Baby It's You" was by the band Smith, who took the song to #5 on the US charts in 1969.

Released in April 1967, this song peaked at #5 on the US charts that June. It was Clark's final US top-ten single and the second of two #1 hits on the Billboard Easy Listening chart. The song reached #3 in Rhodesia, #5 in Canada, #7 in New Zealand, #10 in South Africa and #16 in Germany. In Australia, it was at #1 on the charts dated 16 and 23 September 1967, marking Clark's final appearance at #1 on an official national chart.

This is a song written by Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff and became the follow-up to "Tighten-Up" and the tittle of the group's second album of 1969. It reached #6 on the R&B charts and #21 on the Hot 100.
