I hear the word “strength” pronounced strangely sometimes too. I pronounce it with the accent on the “e” like streeength but I hear a lot of black people mostly put the accent on the “n” as in strennnth and leaving out the “g” completely. I hear this on TV and now from a few white TV personalities.
