Not long ago, I said I lost and the country lost on this issue. Last week, I understand from the information posted, at FReeRepublic that 50,000 American citizens have lost their lives to the issue of illegal immigration. Not all of the illegals are from mexico, illegals come from all over the world. The mexicans (or those south of the border) just tend to murder more Americans than any other ethnic group. The politicians have no will, and Americans are not ready to pick up and do another means of action other than vote, in the present. This battle is lost. America has lost. Our nation is lost (nearly) because people simply do not recognize or understand what has happened and what continues to happen unabated via illegal immigration. (imho)

30 million illegals translate into nearly 50 new congressional districts and all the illegals need to do to get them is be counted in the census. How's that for growth of government? Start adding up congressional pay, benefits, expense accounts etc and you're looking at huge sums of money before a single earmark is taken or subsidy voted on.
