Granted. But it may not matter by the time Florida rolls around. I'm not saying that it's Newt strategy, but pinning to much on Florida would almost be Giuliani'esk.
Newt needs to do well in Iowa (1st or very close 2nd). If he fails there, then it may already be over.

Florida also has lots of hispanics. Most of them are here legally as a result of special legal government policies and conditions as refugees from Cuba, Haiti and other repressive and murderous regimes.
They don't like illegals any more than other American citizens and legal residents.
