NOT ME!! I'm going to make a sign and stand on the street corner demanding my 4s with 4G service.
What can I get for a hang nail and a bruised ego?
I hope at least tax payer funded phone service.
LOL. I think I'll sign up my cat - he's been waiting for years for a call from Little Friskies.
Abuse of a welfare program? Say it ain’t so!
I have the same bare-bones plan I have had for years for $12.00/month. No data or text, just phone.
But then I guess I am stupid as hell for bothering to shop for the lowest price plan to fit my budget when I could just go crying to Uncle Sugar.
That’s the way many thing are these days. The government has made suckers out of anyone trying to pay their own way and play by the rules.
I would so love to move out of Ohio. Cant stand the darn winters anymore.
I heard somewhere there are something like 77 separate federal welfare programs.
Time to abolish at least 76 of them.
we already have CHEAP fast internet being offered for the poor through federal subsidies now.
It’s insane.
I think it was Tom DeLay who announced there was no fat or waste in the federal budget.
does anyone remember that??
lol
These appear to be recycled older phones, and have a small number of monthly minutes (250 domestic is the max) and one text counts as one minute. This is receiving or giving, and I don’t know if there’s a way to shut off the text receiving capability to keep well meaning friends with unlimited pay plans from dinging away your minutes. If the program could be well controlled it might be worth it. $10 on top of a $200 food stamp budget isn’t humongous. But it is supposed to be the sole program phone for that address. And they ask you for your address on line — there’s no excuse for whatever state office administers the food stamps not to ensure the address is unique before paying out. They have to do something like that for the food stamps anyhow (more than one person being fed together gets less than integral multiples of the one person rate).
I should say, receiving or sending [sloppy proof reading]
For 30 bucks every 60 days to Net 10 I get 300 minutes, and the minutes roll over. Right now I have about 1400 minutes in the bank.
Granted, I don't like talking on the phone. I get pi$$ed off when someone wastes my time or wakes me up for no good reason and I suspect that many people are paying for service they don't really need.
Wow, who could have forseen there would be problems with this?
Used for flash mobs and drug deals. Our tax dollars are used to supply these phones and airtime.
These people just have no clue how they are being set up. Uncle Suckah gives them everything, they become bloated, literally, on the freebies and when the collapse comes, they go beserk because those freebies no longer exist.
