The other (plane) kept going as if nothing had happened.

I don't mean to seem petty, but do you imagine they would or could do otherwise? That is to say, if they were even aware of the crash - planes don't have rear view mirrors. And ordinarily aircraft in flight don't have any ability to stop and offer assistance in any case.

I understand that but the flash the explosion gave off would have been apparent as an explosion over a large area as evidenced by the video which was shot from a longer distance than the two aircraft were from each other. I had no intention to suggest anything other than the irony of two aircraft traveling at the same speed in the same direction in a comparative close proximity as though they may have been traveling together.

Witnesses said the twin-engine plane and a second aircraft were flying around the mountain when the accident unfolded.

“The one little plane kept going straight and the other one turned and came back and disappeared for a minute. All of a sudden, it hit,” Carla Machajewski of Apache Junction at the base of mountains told reporters.
