The deportation/forced emmigration of 12 million people would be the largest migration in human history. Not going to happen.

Ah, give me that American “can’t do it” attitude.

Yeah, and we cannot go to moon either.
This is BS.

First, we build a fence making it more difficult to enter here illegally.
Then, we mandate and enforce E-Verify and additional laws (such as enforcement actions in AZ, AL) and accelerate deportations. We can deport every illegal that is caught eg. in hospital.

Then we can change the law making it clear that no illegal can ever get citizenship nor can sponsor, ever. This is important to prevent chain-immigration.

Many will self-deport them and what is most importat, it will reduce future illegals. We continue to deport people that are caught.

Pushing amnesty (perry/newt) style is dishonest and fundamentally wrong. It doesn’t solve anything and it would only lead to further illegals entering here.

Why do we always get so much drama from you amnesty lovers? With you the choice can only be between deportation or amnesty because you want the amnesty. Any honest person knows there are more things we can do to make certain our immigration laws are obeyed and American citizens are protected. Self deportation as a method works so much better. Making life here so onerous for illegals that they voluntarily go back home is the way to go. That method has been used effectively in the past so we have a model to work from.

And the only reason there would be any problem with this is opposition from pandering amnesty lovers, illegals and the slimy, traitorous business owners who feed off of them.

One reason it is not going to happen is that no one in a position of authority has ever proposed such a thing.

It doesn’t have to be mass forced deportation. stop the services for illegals, don’t allow them to live and work here and they will self deport. Mexico’s poor is Mexico’s problem.

The executive branch is responsible for border security and INS and as far as I remember, Newt has never been in the executive branch of Government.

Mass deportation is unworkable and if there was such an exit - it would resemble the holocaust - the Media would be out in force at every train station and bus terminal. Rioting and a breakdown of civil order.

Full employment for attorneys is the engine for INS and this Administration’s failures.

The first effort by the next POTUS should be securing the borders and then to identify all existing illegal residents when applying for work, hospital care, welfare and unemployment benefits.

On what evidence do you say that? Operation Wet Back in 1954 got rid of 1 million illegals and most left just from the threat. We could easily do this again if the politicians were on board like the US citizens are.

Enforce the existing laws and they will self-deport.

If they aren't being supported by the nanny state programs they will eat better in Mexico.

And perhaps if most of them went back, they would be inspired to fight the corruption in their own country and lift it out of third world status, instead of bring the USA down to that level.

There is no law of nature that says it can’t. Eisenhower ran millions of illegals out in the 50s. Every last one needs to go now.

“The deportation/forced emmigration of 12 million people would be the largest migration in human history. Not going to happen.”

Maybe the second largest.

The largest migration in human history would be the 40 million (give or take a few million, but who’s counting, right?) that have invaded our fair land in the last 20 years.

If that many have migrated in, why is it impossible for them to migrate out?
