Enforcing the damn law as our Constitution says and do it in an equal manner, you break the law you break the law. Nothing more nothing less. I do not care if we get everyone, but we need to try. And that 10 million is a lie used by those that support amnesty.

If you support newt because you support amnesty why no say so.

Newt was using the twenty five as a rope a dope, he wants blanked amnesty, I am sure he has already taken millions from the chamber of commerce on this issue.

Here’s a prediction: Cain will surge back ahead and Newt will drop sharply after the amnesty comments last night. These guys just don’t get it.

“If I heard right, FoxNews announced this morning that Sen. Thune has endorsed ........... Romney.”

I’m voting for the person with the fewest endorsements.

I don’t care who it is. Any endorsement from and elected official or party hack is and endorsement of the status quo, RINO, establishment political protected class.

My trend toward Newt is NOT because of his immigration policy.

But his immigration policy is not radical given reality.

As I said, my fantasy is that all illegals go home (within 2 months, no matter what, on their own dime, and taking all children born to a mother here illegally no matter how old).

But my fantasy is not based in practical reality. It will never happen.

Your position IS my fantasy - but that won’t ever happen, so it is absurd to pretend that it is plausible.

[ Point me to a solution grounded in reality - one that is practical politically and logistically. ]

OK.. proper pressure on employers and an ICE with teeth.. would make most/many of them self-deport.. Building the “WALL” would make many of “them” think they couldn’t get back to Mexico whenever they wanted.. AND WOULD self-deport..

Plus a LAW that read anybody NOT turning yourself in to be counted was automatic deportation.. no matter how long you have been here or your family situation.. ANY public assistance must have proof of legality.. or citizenship..

FALSE/Fake/therefore illegal proof is immediate deportation.. if not jail..

Newt’s stance on immigration and the lie of man made global warming should be enough to disqualify him.

Herman Cain is our only chance to win the White House.

Just because you wish to wave the white flag is no reason everyone should. I think the last poll said 80% of Americans were opposed to amnesty.

Well, Gingrich has not come out against any of that, except perhaps the wall idea.

Most of what you suggest would go hand in hand with Gingrich’s proposal.

Cain blew it. He came through the bimbo eruption with flying colors. The race was his to lose, and he snarfed it on foreign policy questions. It wasn't that he had a single fumble, but that he didn't get any right on the first try.

I think you are letting the leftists and the MSM do your thinking for you. Is Herman Cain a perfect candidate? Of course not. Does his political inexperience render him less able to reel off policy soundbites? Sure. But what does the President actually do? What qualities make someone a good President? These are the important questions.

“The reaction is due to his poll numbers dropping.”

I think his numbers dropped because of all the negative press about a nothing gaffe. The issue was chanted over and over.

My point was that if Cain had put in a little time on prepping for foreign affairs he was well on the way to winning this in a walk away. Now he has let Gingrich into the mix and that is going to be a much tougher debate than Perry, who to be honest self destructed. I'm not letting the leftists do my thinking. Cain's answers last weak showed a lack of effort and prep work, period.

Cain is probably the best remaining candidate. But he had the chance to end this quickly. And with Romney's massive cash reserves and establishment backing a quick kill was essential for an insurgent victory. If this comes down to a long slog we end up with Romney, and that is a fate too horrible to imagine. Cain needs to study up, and from his performance last night appears he may have gotten the message. But the stumble let Gingrich into the race and that is going to cost him.

If we want to prevent the Romney disaster, conservatives need to get their act together. Cain needs to be flawless for the next week and hope Gingrich's stand on amnesty shuts him down.

What answers are you specifically talking about?

The polls are what they are but very soon there will be actual voting. Then we will see where Newt stands with the people who step into the voting booths in SC and FL.

I think by February 1st we will know whether Newt and Cain both have staying power, and whether Perry can get up off of the mat. Only if there are two or more evenly-matched non-Romney candidates will Mitt have a chance to outlast the conservative opposition to his candidacy.

Senator who???

Oh, yes, Thune. I heard that also. Now he has Thune and that so-called conservative from New Hampshire who doesn;t support the Castle Doctrine - she helped kill it in the New Hampshire Legislature, along with the Democrat governor at the time. Google her.

As for Thune, perhaps his gun-loving constituents should be reassessing their opinion of THune after this “endorsement”.

The most ANNOYING thing about Romney, aside from his flip-flops and his silly grin at the other candidates when they are speaking in the debates, is his UTTER FAILURE to make ANY effort to appeal to or accommodate the Conservative wing of the GOP in his campaigning. And THAT speaks VOLUMES about what a Romney Presidency would mean for US.

Anybody but Romney is good.

Not enough. There are other liberal Republicans needed on that listing.

I read that IL Democrats are removing at least a half dozen of your Republican U.S. House seats there through reapportionment.
