Really are you a Newt supporter? I can’t stand Norquist but I think he has got his fingers in everything. Including the Abramoff Scandal. remember what abramoff said about Newt. So it looks like the polling shows Newt is going to bring the same ole pols into the WH with him.

In the words of Newt Gingrich, Grover Norquist is “the person who I regard as the most innovative, creative, courageous and entrepreneurial leader of the anti-tax efforts and of conservative grassroots activism in America . . . He has truly made a difference and truly changed American history.”

P.J. O’Rourke says, “Grover Norquist is Tom Paine crossed with Lee Atwater plus just a soupcon of Madame Defarge.”

Senator Mitch McConnell says, “It’s because of soldiers like Grover that the conservative movement is so vibrant today and that the liberals who thought they had taken over two years ago are on the run.”

“No one in modern times has fought harder to shrink the state than the founder of the group Americans for Tax Reform.” — John Stossel, March 24, 2011 during Fox Business Network’s Stossel

Arianna Huffington calls Norquist “The dark wizard of the Right’s anti-tax cult”

Mr. Norquist holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, both from Harvard University. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife, Samah and his daughters, Grace.and Giselle.

My apologies for not replying promptly but I had and still have numerous errands to run so it'll be a hit and run situation. I'll vote for any of the republican candidates with the exception of Romney in the general election ........ and yes, even reluctantly, for Newt.

I'll grant to everyone that Norquist is an avid supporter and activist on the issue of taxes but my acknowledgment stops there and goes no further. But gee, what we have here another one of those credentialed Harvard graduates who may be a legend in his own mind, and among others, who shouldn't be questioned as to his dubious associations either. All most all of those people you cite are the very same establishment Republicans that have either had a hand in, or enable the Democrats to, getting us to this point in our country's history.

Is a poster here not supposed to question a candidates background, previous associates, or conduct? Is it forbidden to question a persons character and it's considered a "hit job" if something is brought up that offends a supporters sensibilities? I'm a 1st Amendment type and as far as I'm concerned, these issues are not settled and won't be until Rick Perry explains these issues and accepts the responsibility if later the allegations are proved correct. Its part of the process of vetting a candidate regardless of how uncomfortable it may make some people. Some of you like to castigate those who raise questions such as these that Robert Spencer, and Pamela Geller, have raised even though they have been instrumental in correctly exposing Islam and the nexus with Sharia law. Is it now their credibility and character that now has be questioned and not St. Perry? The fact is that lying is not beneath an Islamist to promote Islam! And, as everyone should know by now Islam is not a "religion of peace"........ if I recall correctly what a former President.

Let Rick Perry go on record setting out what exactly he knew and knows about the background of those with whom he associates and deals with because as another adage says "you can determine a persons character by those he associates with" ......... So let him respond to the issue himself. We are at a point in history that trying to be tolerant with the intolerant will get us killed and saying those people are just someone I happened to meet, or lived down the street from me isn't going to get it.
