Interesting that if they *take* the “bribe”, then they will be no better than the politicians that are pawns of the corporatism they say they protest against. Also, if they acquire the space, I assume only the *elite* will be camping there and/or it will become just another homeless shelter.

Their camps have lots of trouble...they even separate themselves by the haves and have nots...lots of fighting amongst themselves and disagreements - not to mention all the extra crime and disease that has come with these “communities”. I know a guy in OKC that has become one of their leaders. He ended up in the hospital last week because of stress.

Their freedom to assemble has turned into one big pointless mess. Soon, no one will even remember what or why this thing started...JUST GIVE ‘EM FREE STUFF!

Aren't they principled? They should protest and riot and be even more licentious (lice-centious too!) until the LA mayor agrees to knock the price down by $1. No Compromise!

They already are. Where do you think international communism gets its funding but from the wealthiest people on the planet? And they are NOT doing it for ideological reasons.

Socialism consolidates the power of a government guaranteed to be in debt. The bondholders call the shots, whether for regulatory favors or favorable taxation. This whole 'tax the rich' scam is actually aimed at their competition: what's left of the the upper middle class. The wealthy have tax exempt foundations with which they fund their racketeering in the name of "charity."

I don’t see these people as protestors at all..not even remotely now...they are squatters using a political cause to obatain whatever means of survial they need to continue to live..as street squatters....and to maintain their sense of “belonging” rather than weather the streets alone or at home in their solitude.
