“They can also get a job and become self-sustaining.”

Possibly. If measured the same way as during the Great Depression (known as universal unemployment), we’d have nearly 25% unemployment, about the same as the great depression (which varied from about 22-25% depending upon year). The fact is, the old “get a job” meme doesn’t mean you can just make one appear. And before you say, “Well go into business for yourself” you need to face the fact that government and “Crony capitalists” (really just “Socialists”) have been systematically criminalizing many forms of business (SB 510, anyone), and regulating everyone to death. If you fail to understand that the baby boomers and their children, failed to hand to hand down a free society to their own children, then you need to get real. The fact is that there are lots of people with brilliant idea who have to fight things like “Zoning” (introduced in the Progressive Era of the 1910’s), regulation, licensing, now, Obamacare, and on and on, all during a period in which credit is tight. Don’t delude yourself, saying “Get a job” to a group of people that has nearly 50% unemployment (Ages 18-25) is ridiculous. Help bring freedom back to the country (as you may well be doing), help get rid of the illegals stealing millions of jobs (ditto), eliminate the income tax on prosperity (ENTIRELY), then people won’t have to be told to get a job, they’ll run out to become rich on the fruits of their own labor.
