Thank the Lord that I got a matched pair of Benelli M1 Super 90s back when I could afford them. Superb fighting shotguns, and decent game-getters when you need it.
I had a Benelli M1 super 90. It was a beautiful gun and sort of wicked looking.
The problem was it kicked harder than any gun I have ever owned. It kicked harder than my Siamese Mauser in 45-70. It kicked harder than my Grandpa’s old 12 gauge lightweight single barrel. It kicked harder than my Father’s Browning auto 5.
I finally sold it, just too much recoil. I really wish I had a Remington 11-87 with the police/military long mag short barrel, and pistol grip. I have arthritis pretty bad and the pistol grip is much easier for me to handle than the standard stock.
