The committee reached a consensus that the problem is the other party’s fault.
This gives Zero a way to say he’s fighting a do-nothing Congress. It’s the only arrow left in his quiver because he cannot possibly run on his record.
Obama’s and his minions’ fault.
They increased spending by 25% and increased deficit spending by 100% in expectation of then saying “well, we need more taxes”.
But most everyone w/ a brain knows that the spending has to be cut - the spending Obama created.
If taxing “the rich” at a higher marginal rate increases tax revenues to the extent that .25% of debt is covered but prevents job creators from hiring or investing then what is the gain?
The dems hold the bag b/c they overspent [most recently and most spectacularly] expecting taxes to follow. It is not acceptable to them to reduce the spending they just jammed thru. Their worldview has no place for reality - only for their view of “fairness” ie redistributing.
So, obama and the dems don’t care about the economy, they care about redistributing resources - hence their insistence on increasing taxes to the detriment of the economy and job growth.
Freakin’ idiots.
They did not even have the same objectives. Kyl just said on CNN purpose of super committee was to reduce expenses. Kerry said purpose was to reduce deficit. That explains the dead end. Those that agree with Kyl will blame Democrats. Those that agree with Kerry will blame Republicans. Take your choice. Decision next election.

I voted democrat, because, after all, owebama is a democrat, or something like that, I guess.
Look at who’s poll it is. Yahoo?
Of course, if we want to go further, we can blame the voters who put these politicians in a place of power to begin with. So we can blame the voters as well.
Heck, while we're at it, let's blame the liberal teachers who taught the masses to be liberal who voted in the liberal politicians.
Heck, while we're at it, let's blame the 60's hippy crowd who became the liberal teachers who taught the masses to be liberal who in turn voted in the liberal politicians.
Heck, let's blame the Supreme Court who outlawed reading the bible in the public schools, which enabled the 60's hippy crowd to emerge who became the liberal teachers who taught the masses to be liberal who in turn voted in the liberal politicians.
What's that old saying, "you reap what you sow?"
FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

obuttface set the parameters for failure. This is his doing and rest assured he calculated political advantage by placing all the blame on congress. Congress continues to grow weaker while the executive branch headed by the obama snake grows stronger.
