Having Kittens Over E-Cat.
E-Cat World ^ | Nov. 21, 2011 | Frank Acland

Acland quotes another cold fusion researcher at the E-Cat World page:

"“In the last 8 weeks I have been astounded by a superior nanotechnology that will capture the imagination of even the greatest foes of LENR. I believe all of LENR is just a new and unanticipated form of nanomagnetism.”

you have obviously not watched any of the SPAWAR videos which cover, in depth, their research in LENR

That's right. I'm fascinated with fringe science and conspiracy theories, but I usually can't be bothered to spend that much time looking at fringie sources.

As for physicists not noticing - that's garbage propaganda - the thirty or so physicists in the room must of noticed

When I said that physicists haven't noticed SPAWAR's alleged revolutionizing of physics, I was referring to the mainstream physics community, not the thirty scientists in attendance at a fringe presentation. Cold fusion promoters have had since 1989 to demonstrate that cold fusion exists, and haven't convinced more than a small handful of people in the field. They seem to have had much better success with lay people who are interested in conspiracies. I think I'll stick with the combined wisdom of what we might call "establishment physics," thanks.

I would give any critic more credence if they just would apply for a LENR patent using a different method

This I just don't follow. If someone claims to be creating unicorns by sprinkling horses with magic powder, would you only accept criticism from someone who has a patent application for a different method of unicorn creation? Rossi claims to have invented a source of virtually free and unlimited energy in contravention of fundamentals of established physics. One doesn't have to claim to have a different method of creating free energy to assume the man is a kook until he provides evidence.

SPAWAR fringe?

Don’t be bothered to watch...

Stick with conventional wisdom and establishment physics ...right .. that’s where all the innovation comes from and obviously your no patent holder..

Rossi is not going to provide you with”evidence” your words - he is selling product - he doesn’t need to show you anything.

Yes, of course it is. I don't think you'll find that people who come from nowhere with claims of unlimited energy forever have a very good track record of successful innovation.

your no patent holder..

Funny you should mention that. I'm co-inventor on a few IP disclosures, at least one of which has gone to patent application, but that's irrelevant. I will point out, however, that not one of the inventions claims to turn physics upside down and burn nickel at 517,000 times the energy density of oil.

Rossi is not going to provide you with”evidence” your words - he is selling product - he doesn’t need to show you anything.

That's fine, of course, and lacking evidence I have no reason to believe he has anything. And yet, you assume that Rossi actually has something and can't seem to understand why others assume he does not. Your position seems to be that it's up to others to prove that a selectively-secretive individual with ludicrous claims hasn't actually revolutionized human civilization forever.
