Acland quotes another cold fusion researcher at the E-Cat World page:
"In the last 8 weeks I have been astounded by a superior nanotechnology that will capture the imagination of even the greatest foes of LENR. I believe all of LENR is just a new and unanticipated form of nanomagnetism.

Wow Z
It’s easy to see why you are attracted to FRingie threads, like a shiny object is attractive to a dullard.
what a smuck you are.
I am an inventor have patents in Biomendical Heart Monitoring Electrodes and and have Licensed Intellectual property on Mercury Remediation processes.
WTF do you have or have you done.

well if you can’t sell it in the real world there is always the academic world - they’ll buy anything.
It is obvious you are completely unfamiliar with Trade Secret and Intellectual Property law, likely do not own, nor license any IP and probably never held a real job in business; otherwise you would not have made a fool of yourself as anyone in the IP world can see in a minute.
Maybe your an academic mushroom (live in the dark and live on hor$e$hit) not a seagull.
Goodbye
Everything has to start somewhere.
I can reemember when there was no such thing as CMOS. (If obama has his way, we may get there again soon)
The Chinese aren’t that sharp on technology. They can copy something that is already developed, but haven’t come up with anything new on their own.
>> “Anyone who has intellectual property (IP) has to have his head examined if he allows anyone, other than an absolute need to know folks under his factory roof.” <<
.
This point has been made before but it just causes the agitprop to increase.
A thermocouple converts heat into electricity, or the reverse. I have ice chests that do that stuff quite well.
>> “I had no problem tuning in radio staions, without any batteries” <<
.
But, did your crystal radio drive a loudspeaker without batteries?
1) you have obviously not watched any of the SPAWAR videos which cover, in depth, their research in LENR - they are in the public domain and freely available.
2) As for physicists not noticing - that's garbage propaganda - the thirty or so physicists in the room must of noticed otherwise why would they have been there. If you are not present when a tree falls in a forest - does that mean the tree did not fall NO! it only means that you missed it - and you did miss it.
3) I will accept Rossi’s patent application as just what it is, a patent application - and I would give any critic more credence if they just would apply for a LENR patent using a different method, however all the critics do is criticize not shed any new light on LENR.
4) What I didn't mention in my post is the pi$$poor posts from armchair critics who because they have a some small morsel knowledge think they are experts. One guy quoted Sander Olson of nanotech fame as an expert - well it turns out that Sander Olson has his BS and MS in HISTORY, which I am certain qualifies him to pan Rossi and be quoted by every two-bit Rossi critic. Another said Rossi was a quack because Rossi did not have an Export license and restricted armament license. Another that Rossi must show his Intellectual Property for all the world to see, that guy works in academia and his lack of knowledge on IP was painfully obvious.
What a bunch of armchair, Monday morning quarterback, uninformed, dim-bulb losers.
Free-Republic has really degenerated into a forum where anybody without a lick of sense thinks it is his God given right to spew what ever notion pops into his head.

“They can copy something that is already developed, but havent come up with anything new on their own.”
I will second that - a friend who does 3D solid-modelling for Honeywell was let go as they off-shored the entire design department.
He got a call several months later from his old boss and spend the next two years as an independent contractor for Honeywell correcting drawings problems, which came back from China.

Does that mean LENR is what's happening inside the ecat?
hi moon..
I haven’t a clue since I haven’t been inside an e-cat; however, since the LENR, which have been published all seem to have low, very low or immeasurable radiation - it would seem to be a good candidate.
Rossi indicated low radiation, which is easily stopped by the lead shielding covering the e-cat.
I don’t believe anyone can say with certainty except those on the inside of NDAs and obviously they are not talking.

LENR seems to rely on “heavy electrons” and the capture of the heavy electron by a proton. In Rossi’s patent application, he mentions fusion, fission, and beta decay, but nothing that could be construed as LENR, if my understanding of LENR is correct.
hi moon..

and Hydrogen/Nickel cold fusion probable mechanism here: http://www.journal-of-nuclear-physics.com/?p=338&cpageBut it's based on nothing more than intuition. He could have calculated the expected reaction rate, but didn't. I wonder why.
The above considerations are based only on an intuitive approach and I trust this phenomenon could be tackled in a systematic and integrated way through the theory of time dependent perturbations by employing the appropriate Hamiltonian, which includes time:

***I summed up that sentiment by calling them seagulls, and the mods told me to stop. Apparently seagulls are sensitive about their feelings, doncha know.
Awww... the seagull posts are what kept me reading. I didn’t fully understand everything else. ;)
