Sadly, I think you're correct. And Newt makes it worse by claiming to be a Freddie Mac "historian", not a lobbyist.

If that's not a lie, it's very close to being one.

And it's making me sick. Pigs at the trough.

Sadly, I think you're correct.

Why sadly? That makes no sense at all....that's what politicians do after they leave office...they are sought after by business, industry and all others who have a stake in how the congress rules on that which affects their bottom line. This isn't new nor is it something we are going to stop. You can't forbid a politician from making a living at what he knows to do. They all do it.
