I helped to interview Hudak for about an hour on college radio in Salem. Very knowledgeable. If signs could only vote (he had many up, Tierney only started to get them up right before the election)...
But despite the scandal breaking just before the election, Tierney still won. Yuck....hopefully the new towns added to the 6th will help whomever the GOP nominates but Bill or Rich will have to win some Dem strongholds like Lynn.

Years ago Howie was talking to someone on air and mentioned “how’s this guy Tissy”—mispronounced his name— “over in
Wakefield?” A short time later, Howie appeared at some kind of fundraiser for Tisei.

I post them because that’s part of the ping list. You don’t have to read them. You also don’t have to buy the Herald.

Buy the Globe, much better paper. (/sarcasm)

As long as Howie still gets good ratings and earns money for WRKO, he will continue doing things the way he does. Howie’s contract is up in the fall of next year and he tried unsuccessfully to jump to WTKK 96.9 5 years ago (when WRKO
was able to match the contract offer, he was forced to stay;
thus his “prison term” will end in about a year). He may try to go to WTKK or Talk 1200 next year, but they may not offer him as much. RKO also may lowball him but he may be stuck with them if the others can’t do any better.

Didn’t hear the incident you mentioned.

Not thrilled about Tisei entering the race. I think Hudak has more name recognition than Tisei right now. Another thing in Hudak’s favor is in the primary it will be a small number of people voting. When was the last time there was a Rep. primary for anything? Hudak’s voters will vote regardless. Tisei? Who knows.

Hopefully Howie will stay neutral on this one....

I can take Severin for a couple minutes if Howie is in a commercial break.

Don't know that name. As for being cut off, who knows, maybe he signaled Sandy to end the call, maybe not. As for Brown of course on the Left they consider him a far right "Rethuglican". He could vote for gay marriage, repeal DADT, even climate change legislation and he'd still be a far right "Rethuglican".

Now Dizzie Miss Lizzie Warren, THERE'S a candidate for you. I'm sure she will make us feel better for decades to come.

>>WASHINGTON (AP) — Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren is filling a void for liberal but disillusioned Democrats who flocked to President Barack Obama in 2008. She's attracting attention, money and help the liberal left isn't yet eager to give to Obama. A longtime consumer advocate, the Harvard University professor has cast herself as a crusader against corporations and once said her work provided the "intellectual foundation" of the Occupy Wall Street movement — a statement Warren later backed away from. She's drawing large crowds and flexing her fundraising muscle with help from national progressive groups as her candidacy has caught fire among the small army of activists who dominate the party in the traditionally liberal state.

CONSERVATIVES FOR WARREN!

Hudak did have a primary challenger before. Let me look it up: Oh here it is, Robert McCarthy of Saugus.

>>According to WCVB, Hudak garnered roughly 76 percent of the votes, roughly 19,425 votes, in the 6th Congressional District for the Republican nomination in a landslide victory against McCarthy, who grabbed only 6,025.

So far no primary challenge to Scott Brown. In late 2009,
Brown faced Jack E. Robinson in the GOP primary.

Robinson won one town (Heath, IIRC).

Tisei may have some name recognition in that he was
Baker’s running mate.

Where do you take him? Three RomneyBOTs in heat,
like gartner snakes, staggers the mind.

All working together to ruin America.

"As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.
* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.
* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.
* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.
"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.
In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal."

>>Three RomneyBOTs

He does seem to be a Romney supporter (Jay); an anti-Jay
site, http://www.JaySeverin.org, used to have a section called “Jay’s Governor”. Now the site, run by a libertarian I believe,
has:

>>Severin Totally Exposed By Paul Campaign
Turns out Jay is No Constitutionalist after all

>>’New’ Severin Show Peddles Yesterday’s News
Or he didn’t get the latest memo from Big Sis
August 26, 2011
So, potty-mouthed Jay Severin has emerged once again like the Phoenix from the ashes. We Best and Brightest couldn’t wait to hear him again. But listening to him on 1200 AM just feels like an old 96.9 re-run from 2009.

>>Is there a (real) Doctor In the House?
16 Reasons Why Dr. Romney = Dr. Obama

When I heard the news that Jay was returning via 1200
I did pass along the word to this guy, and he thanked me.

I've simply been a wallflower for awhile. Formulating a plan of attack. Studying your moves. The reactions of certain freepers to different styles of prose. It's quite elaborate really, but I can't reveal more just yet. I'm already late for the weekly meeting and the propeller on my cap is a little loose...

I jumped off Howie’s bandwagon when he jumped on the bash Herman Cain wagon. That was very recent. Been listening since day 1 and I’ve always known Howie was shallow, but didn’t know just how low he could go. But hey, if you want to defend Mitt’s spokesman in New England, go right ahead.

The great Howie Carr does not need my help in fending off a pitiful hissy fit from an angry Herman Cain supporter. I am sure that Howie will not hold a grudge, and will permit you to continue listening to his show, however discomforting that may be for you.
