My father did actively fight against Nixon’s election, and did fight for and celebrate his political evisceration. But he never “demanded” or even asked for any favors from him. Older and wiser, I am still a member of the “Jewish community,” but have voted Republican in every election since 1998, and have emigrated to Israel to get away from the consequences of my more benighted bretheren’s pick’s election.
