I think that we will not have to wait for maturity in Sarah Palin's looks to set in. The last few times we have seen her on TV, my husband and I have remarked on the new fullness in her face and general appearance of a more mature look and toned down voice. The pressure she was under while weighing the decision of getting in the presidential race having been erased was evidently a settling in for her. I cannot realistically see her reconsidering her decision to be a presidential contender, at least on the GOP ticket. As a third party candidate she would be a death sentence for the GOP, which IMO is well deserved but disastrous for the this Republic. She has said she will not do that so as I see it, end of story. I regret that Palin chose not to run but there it is.

I believe that what it is- is it, as you have wisely summarized. Too bad. I think that there was a window of opportunity that could be exploited for the betterment of our nation... and yes, it would abstract a price from Sarah Palin and her family. Peace. Out.
