I didn’t either, but I’m an engineer and a scientist. Many people bought in to this crap initially. Newt is not alone...
I was online the night the e-mails were released...it was more than thrilling and fasinating to watch the whole thing unfold from the start.... astounding to see the science community and those who study weather etc. post their comments and detemining where the e-mails were coming from and if or not authentic.
To so they were intense at getting to the truth is an understatement, as they shared information and communicated over their websites and amongst one another... It was a wild ride the whole night...I never went to bed! Too excited to sleep on this great discovery which would change the entire landscape of the global warming scam...and reveal the governments etc. who were invested in making millions via fraud and a host of other crimes.
I say this because I was left with an enormous respect for those who were seeking the truth....they were intent on turning every stone...and making certain their findings were solid in what they were seeing and understanding of these e-mails, who was envolved and the study of those e-mails.
Newt has always had respect for our enviornment...he taught it way back when, so it's no surprise he wants to see facts and table debates, with the evidence from both sides of the aisle....in order to move on from it once and for all or address what truly needs to be addressed. But he certainly doen't support the cap n' trade issue nor the other revenue enhancing means of filling international coffers as the way to resolve anything.
