I DON’T contribute to any politicians.

I once, many years ago, sent a small check for a ballot measure. They got my name, phone number and address. That has been sold to every politician between here and China. I am sick of political season with the relentless and endless taped phone calls. I have to take time away from a customer for this crap.

The way to contribute to your prefered candidate on FR is to besmirch the character of any FReeper who does not wholeheartedly support your candidate. If you know whom they support feel free to insult that candidate, but even if you are unsure of their preference, you may posit a pick and most often present a disparaging moniker such as <candidateX>bot
