I was simply surprised that Cain appeared to me as not aware of the same recusal request bubbling against Thomas. He thought he had nailed a “gimmee”, and still may not know what’s up against Thomas.
I would hate to see such a watershed issue decided on the basis of political maneuvering and manipulation of public opinion instead of constitutional principals but if that comes to pass it wouldn't be the first time.
