So now what do all you Newt Fans that have been lamblasting away at people who call Newt an insider have to say?

So your point is that ZERO experience is a great resume enhancer for being POTUS? How's that working out right now, genius?

I believe your question is slightly misplaced. Who’s been lambasting who trying to convince anyone that Newt isn’t an insider. What else could you call him?

Lambasting because some can’t get over the picture on the couch? Or that he believed in global warming before it was debunked? He’s addressed this “old news” but some can’t drop it. But who’s defending him by saying he’s not an insider???

Reagan was an insider as well, not sure what the point is? There’s a difference between being an insider that will play the insider game, & being an insider that knows how the game is played.

I love Cain, but as an outsider, he’s been played by the insiders because he’s not familiar w/ how the game is played. Cain is a brilliant man but has been unfamiliar w/ this battlefield & has paid the price.

Gingrich’s point is that he knows where the landmines are & can thus navigate through the dangerous territory better than the outside novice. It’s a valid point.

Had Reagan not spent time as governor in California, he probably wouldn’t have been near as effective as president. Even THEN, he got played by Tip O’Niel on some crucial issues. Had he had another term, with all the “insider” experience, he would have been an even better president than what he already was. He would have had a better knowledge of the insider landmines.
