Sorry its not, you believe that you are naive. They are not remotely the same beasts. Name me one, one person to win the Presidency when they came to it with a resume that only contained “CxO” positions at companies.
They may be conceptually equivalent but they are not remotely the same. Private industry does NOT operate like government, it can’t, if it did it would go out of business. So being able to lead a private enterprise is not the same as attempting to lead a governmental agency.
If they were equivalent or even similar you’d see a hell of a lot more Political Science/Business double majors... they aren’t remotely the same beast.
