I believe Herman Cain would make an excellent President. He has core principles and would surround himself with experts in his cabinet selections - not for window dressing - but for function.

It has been a long time since Herman Cain has been interviewed for a job - which is the purpose of election campaigns.

His resume is that of a CEO - not politician, Tax Collector, Militarist or teleprompter reader.

There was a time when Herman Cain would have been carried into DC on the shoulders of the voters. Sadly, this is not the time. Maybe next time.

[Herman Cain] would surround himself with experts in his cabinet selections.

I'd like to think that he would do a better job with his cabinet selections than I think he did with Mark Block and his campaign staff. They don't appear to have prepared Cain overall, and they don't appear to prepare Cain for the day-to-day normalcies of campaigning.

Block, in particular, mangled the harassment kerfuffle. Letting Cain publicly accuse one man by name of being the source of the leak? Stating that accuser Karen Kraushaar’s son worked at Politico?

And what was Cain thinking saying he would ask Kissinger to be his Secretary of State? What was that? Kissinger will be 90 when the next President takes office.

I was a Cain supporter. I supported him right here on FR. I'm back to square one, because I now believe Herman Cain is in over his head.
