Occupy DC protesters plan to march on the Key Bridge Thursday afternoon.
The protesters plan to arrive at the bridge around 2:30 p.m. and return to McPherson Square, where they have camped for the last two months, by 3:30 p.m., avoiding rush hour, according to Occupy DC's media team.
An Occupy DC spokesman also said that protesters would stay on the sidewalk to avoid snarling traffic.
A newly formed Occupy NoVa group is also planning to march to the bridge from Ballston to meet the Occupy DC group, but its march isn't scheduled to arrive at the bridge until 5 p.m., according to the group's website.
Greedy, too big to fail bridges. I hate them too.
Don’t know who in the (freerepublic) DC Chapter might be impacted by this but maybe you could do a ping?

Blocking traffic and making things difficult for people who actually work for a living seems to be one of the primary goals of the “Occupy” spoiled brats.
Yesterday they were screaming “our park” as the cops cleaned out Occupy New York. What a bunch of spoiled brats. They pay nothing toward the acquisition, maintenance, and taxes of a park but have the audacity to claim it as their own.
Got an email about it at work today. I actually will be passing by there right when they plan to be on the bridge. My first thought was “ramming speed”, but I’m a better person than that... I like my car too much to put it through the ordeal.
Need to set a reminder, though, to go with recycled AC while passing by — I don’t want to breathe “occupy” stink.
I have a better way to deal with this street vermin. Truck in to a site close by loads of the prefab fencing, nine feet high, topped with razor wirte. When eleven o’clock night arrives, connect the fence sections all the way around the vermin and place bio-hazard suited guards outside the wire with DDT sprayers and then a row of bio-hazard scrubber tents. If any want to leave, they can come out one by one, be sprayed and washed, then dressed and bussed to Mexico. Let the vermin enjoy their scabbies and STDs for a week or two without treatment. Just toss MREs over the fence to the wild things.

I sit on that bridge every day at that time listening to Sean Hannity. Today will be no different.
