The Secret Service searched Occupy D.C. on Monday for a man suspected of firing bullets at the White House on Friday, one of which was stopped by the building’s ballistic glass.
Protestor Ralph Wittenberg told TPM on Tuesday evening that authorities came through “searching for a so-called terrorist who shot at the White House, with no warrant, they went into everybody’s tents.”
A person handling media requests for Occupy DC confirmed the searches and said they were led by the Secret Service. The agency did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Police have been trying to locate 21-year-old Oscar Ortega Hernandez, a mentally ill man from Idaho who authorities say is connected to the incident, which apparently took place on Friday.
Agents began investigating after gunshots were heard on Friday night, but NBC Washington reports that agents didn’t discover the bullets until Tuesday morning.
One bullet hit an exterior window of the White House but was stopped by the bulletproof glass behind the historic glass. An additional round was found on the exterior of the building, the Secret Service told the news channel. Authorities recovered an AK-47 rifle near the scene.
Strangely, the Secret Service says the agency isn’t yet positive that the Friday incident is linked to the bullets found on the grounds of the White House.
As for Barry, he’s a playah, but he should let this slide. If he didn’t roll around in armor plated limo and live in a mansion guarded 24/7 by sharpshooters on top of the roof, I’d feel more sorry for him. If he lived a three miles SE of 1600 Penn Ave, he’d be hiring glaziers at least two times a week.

But they certainly told everyone right off the bat that he was “mentally ill.” ANd yet, they’re still keeping that little minor “mentally ill” factoid about Jared Loughner out of the media while they insist on calling him a Tea Party conservative, which is a flat out LIE.

At least the “media” have given up on the facade that OWS holds Obama in high regard; when these protests started the news openly showed anti-Obama signs and aired anti-Obama interviews with the protesters. As they dragged on, those items disappeared, and the “media” even tried to give the impression that the Dem politicians were at the forefront of the movement...
All he needed was a schedule and umm maybe a ticket to Hawaii. I might hate Obama's policies to the core but don't want to see the guy dead.I still say he would have been better off as Bill Maher's side kick or Arsenio Hall's replacement.
I'll try to find a link to the first reports. It seems even the radio announcer was getting caught up in the differing stories and how the media were trying to keep this story out of the "Occupadoelbano" people they so dearly love.

The media quickly reports that he had no affilliations with any extremist political groups.
