Rescued Doggie Ping
What a nice story. We just adopted an ex-racer Greyhound.
They are great dogs.
What a lovely story. One another note, Hercules, the hero St. Bernard was on fox & Friends this AM. He's certainly a "laid back" dog. LOL.
Labs are like that.
Beautiful story! Thanks for posting... you made my day a lot brighter!
For another great story read post # 9.
Yes, Hercules was featured this morning on Fox & Friends. His new owners (who were saved from an intruder only 6 hours after they brought H home) appeared with more details from the horrific experience. Hercules slept through the interview, raising his noble head only once.
The intruder cut the phone wires before Herculese chased him off. H got him in the ankle, however, before the perp got away. It was late in the evening on his first dy with the Littlers, and the lady of the house had just left for work. Mr. Littler was going to take Hercules out to “do his business” when the dog broke through the screen door and chased someone coming out of their basement which had an exterior door. The phone wires had been cut.
Well worth it!
Beautiful story. Wonderful people. It’s magical when you meet a dog whose soul ‘clicks’ with you. They look at you and ‘belong’. My first Sheltie was like that. Instant connection- we KNEW each other.
He was mine from the moment I saw him and we both knew it.
I’m surprised that not a single one of my male cohorts on this thread has declared Lorraine Booth not guilty. You gentlemen are slipping.
What a gorgeous little labbie. In the photos showing her eyes, she has a desperate, pleading quality. (Only the eyes, of course. She’s a lovely shape/size now.) Poor baby. I’m so happy she’s found a home with that couple. I’d love it if the newspaper returns a year from now, and she’s lost that haunted expression.
Talk about dogs looking like their people!
Weber looks like my Molly who is a black lab/terrier mix that was found on the streets of Atlanta. Had her brought down to Florida to keep my yellow male lab, who was also a rescue, company.
compare this story to the one of the vile slime defacating in the street. There ARE more good people out there than not...we just don’t hear of them. Goodness doesn’t sell. Well, God bless this young couple for doing what they did. I hope they have a long and happy life together. Sweet, sweet Lab. We had one... Long life, Weber. You deserve it.
Lucky dog. Humans who love her and a companion as well. Doesn’t get better than that.
Good call. She does have a slight terrier-type look, what with that ear set. Of course, it could also be a failed prick ear. Definitely not all Lab.
